Once again a distasteful and insulting piece of propaganda written by an obviously ignorant individual , hunters ,fisherman and trappers come from many walks of life and there are no more hillbilly's and Neanderthals in the activity's than any other walk of life, mr.McRae seems to have a preformed opinion but i find his writing here pathetic , funny how being a lifelong hunter and trapper and knowing many other's like me i don't know anyone who speaks in this manner and his comparison of hunters to military also shows his disrespect for the armed forces here and abroad .
Well enough of that , on to the real facts about the coyote issues facing much of Ontario and in particular eastern Ontario , there is nothing wrong with a contest for coyotes we have laws we follow about wanton waste and the pelts of coyotes are no expection so they are not being wasted ,coyote hunters hunt coyotes all winter long already and there is a large population which is affecting livestock producers in the area of the contest ,I,m sure many of those producers would love to have the numbers reduced and finally as a tax payer which pays for compensation to those producers for lost livestock due to coyote predation i also have no problems with this contest if it helps to remove a few more coyotes
In closing : I'd like to say mr.McRae get your head out of your ass
